A Roscommon man’s love of jiving will be the focus of an RTE documentary this evening, Monday, which delves into the world of dancers. Called Secrets from the Dancefloor, the programme on RTÉ 1 will feature Conor McDermott from Crenane, Ballaghaderreen and other dancers. It will look at his journey to the All-Ireland Jiving Competition held in Ballinasloe last April and how he started dancing since moving to Dublin in early 2022. To say that Conor loves jiving would be an understatement. The RTE programme is set to generate more buzz around this fascinating world of jiving, which provides so much enjoyment to all those involved.
